ACT Shelter members are invited to join us for our 2026 Annual General Meeting (AGM) and Special General Meeting (SGM).
The AGM will follow straight after the SGM, in a single online session.

What members will decide
Special General Meeting: whether to adopt new Rules of Association by special resolution. The new Rules modernise how ACT Shelter is governed. They introduce membership classes, make it easier to join, give the Executive Committee 2-year staggered terms and a term limit, and align our Rules with charity law. Our objects are unchanged. The resolution needs at least 75% of votes cast to pass.
Annual General Meeting: the usual annual business, including the Chair’s, CEO’s and Treasurer’s reports; the 2025–26 audited financial statements; and the election of the Executive Committee.

The meeting will consider a special resolution to repeal ACT Shelter’s current Rules of Association and replace them with new proposed Rules of Association. The special resolution is set out in the Notice of Special Resolution, available via the link below.
