ACT Shelter’s submission to the ACT Government’s 2026–27 Budget consultation calls for the restoration of core funding to ensure ACT Shelter can remain a viable and effective housing peak. This submission represents the first instalment of ACT Shelter’s pre-budget submission. A second instalment will be finalised in early 2026 and will set out a broader package of budget measures and policy reforms to address homelessness and improve housing equity, affordability and security across the ACT.
